Jack Black Responds To "Horrible Reviews" For The Super Mario Bros. Movie

Actor Jack Black is joining yet another video game movie with his starring role in 2025’s Minecraft movie. In a new interview, Black talked about appearing in that film and also reacted to the negative critical reception to The Super Mario Bros. Movie, in which he voiced Bowser.

In the newest issue of Total Film (via GamesRadar), Black said Mario and Minecraft are related in that they are both video games, but the Minecraft film is live-action. “Live-action is a different ball of wax,” Black said.

He added that he’s excited to work with director Jared Hess again after starring in Nacho Libre, which was also directed by Hess. “It’s been fun jamming with Jared,” Black said.

Almost nothing is known about the story for the Minecraft movie, or Black’s role in it, but the film is assembling a big cast. In addition to Black, the movie stars Jason Momoa, Jennifer Coolidge, Danielle Brooks, Matt Berry, Emma Meyers, Kate McKinnon, and Jemaine Clement. Filming is underway i…

Journey (PS4) Review

This review contains spoilers. For a spoiler-free review of Journey, you can read our original review here.

It was my eighth playthrough and the tears still streamed, almost inexplicably; Journey is a song without words, reliant on its rapturous presentation and liberating movement to stir your mind and move your heart. With many games, I have wished that I could play them again for the first time–to experience that buzz that inevitably diminishes with each return visit. I will never need to waste this wish on Journey, however: each pilgrimage is as bittersweet as the last. How appropriate, given the game’s theme of death and rebirth, that it feels so sorrowful, so joyous, and so true, each and every time.

“Journey would be just as effective as a movie,” a friend once told me, but I must contradict her. Not that I can argue against the game’s sumptuous environments and its sublime musical score, which earned masterpiece status the moment Jou…

“We are thrilled to begin the next chapter of America’s favorite quiz show with Mike hosting our daily show and Mayim hosting new versions of Jeopardy,” said Ravi Ahujga, chairman of global television studios and corporate development for Sony Pictures.

Lego Fortnite Fast Travel Isn't There Yet, But You Can Travel Fast

Lego Fortnite has pulled in millions of players since it launched a week ago, but this game is still very much in its infancy. It’s shockingly polished for a brand-new game in 2023, but it’s also kind of an overall barebones experience right now, without much in the way of a long-term endgame. There’s a lot to enjoy here, but to what end?

For now, it’s all about pushing the limits of what Lego Fortnite can do in its current state. And in that current state, one of the biggest concerns is travel–it takes a long time to get places, and it’s likewise pretty inconvenient to have to haul resources all over the map with only your personal inventory for storage. There’s no fast travel, and so the best form of travel that’s officially provided by the game is a glider, which will get you around quickly but doesn’t help with the need to efficiently move resources around.

League Of Legends Patch 12.2 Introduces New Champion Zeri, Lunar New Year Skins

League of Legends’ first new champion for 2022, Zeri, the Spark of Zaun, arrives this week on January 20, along with the rest of the updates included in patch 12.2. Live A Live- Prehistory Crafting Guide

Living in prehistory was tough. The Prehistory chapter of Live A Live is no different. The enemies descend on you in hordes, and farting on them only goes so far. However, this chapter has a unique mechanic that you can take advantage of to make things a bit easier for your hairy caveguy: Crafting. Enemies drop all kinds of loot, and special NPCs wandering the wastes can cram them together for you to make better items. While there doesn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason to what gets dropped by whom, some of the recipes you can craft are definitely better than others, and knowing them ahead of time will give you a huge advantage.

There are a few things to note. Beru becomes inaccessible for the middle part of the chapter, and you won’t have the option to change her equipment after that. You’re best getting this stuff in the second hunting area. There are also two artisans. The first is in the north after you get kicked out of your tribe…
